A loss to the rugby community.

The Hampshire rugby community is still reeling from the sad passing of Paul Searle of Tottonians RFC. Those of us that knew Paul personally have lost a friend, but more widely, all of us with a love for the game, have lost a huge figure in local rugby. Paul was the embodiment of a clubman. His drive and enthusiasm helped guide Tottonians from a social team playing on a rented pitch, with a cricket pavilion for a clubhouse a mile and a half away from it; To delivering his vision of a successful club with great facilities and a thriving social life. The Searle DNA runs through Tottonians to this day and will continue to do so far beyond. Paul never took life too seriously but was seriously devoted to his club and family. He leaves behind a true legacy and will be long and fondly remembered. He was a player, coach, referee, clubman and a true local legend in the game RIP Paul, from all at SRFC.
